CHC22015 Certificate II in Community Services

The College for Australian Early Childhood Educators (CAECE) is excited to be providing the CHC22015 Certificate II in Community Services qualification to secondary school students as a stepping stone on their pathway to working in early childhood education and care services.


This qualification has been developed to support students interested in a career in working with children. Studying this qualification with CAECE will provide an introduction to working in education and care services or regulated early learning services such as Long Day Care (LDC) or Outside School Hours Care (OSHC). Once you complete CHC22015 Certificate II in Community Services, you will have advanced standing to progress on to study CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care. You could consider completing a School Based Traineeship in Years 11 and 12 of your secondary schooling and work in an early childhood education and care service one day each week as you gain your qualification and experience.

Delivery

The delivery mode for CHC22015 Certificate II in Community Services is designed to be affordable and effective. It is important for students to be committed to succeeding, as there is a need to complete assessments in your own time. CAECE provides face-to-face class delivery with ongoing support from your Trainer and Assessor. Students have access to a comprehensive learning guide for each unit of competency to support them with the development of their knowledge and understanding as well as resources provided in class and the skills, knowledge, and experience of a highly skilled Vocational Education Trainer and Assessor.

Duration


This qualification is completed alongside regular schooling. The duration of enrolment is for one full semester, with an expectation to attend 20 weeks of classes and complete all required assessments relating to these classes.


Funding


Being a Nationally recognised qualification, CHC22015 Certificate II in Community Services, delivered in secondary education, is covered under VET in Schools (VETiS) funding, this means funding is available to cover the cost of studies. Read more on this here.
